Spanish judoka Laura Martinez Abelenda claimed a silver medal at the World Junior Championships in Zagreb in 2017 and bronze at the 2018 Junior worlds in the Bahamas. She took a silver medal at the Junior European Championships in 2017. She took silver at the EYOF in Tbilisi in 2015. Laura took gold at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2019. She took bronze at the Grand Slam in Brasilia in 2019. Laura took silver at the Grand Prix in Linz and GS Astana in 2023 and bronze in Zagreb. She bagged a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2024.
