Spanish judoka Nikoloz Sherazadishvili became World Champion in 2021 in Budapest and 2018 in Baku as first male World champion of Spain. Niko won European Championships bronze in 2018 in Tel Aviv and 2023 in Montpellier. He was born in Tbilisi. Nikoloz fought the World Junior Championships final in 2014 and in 2015. Nikoloz won the Grand Slam in Brasilia and Abu Dhabi in 2019 and gold in Paris in 2020. He took bronze at the Grand Prix in Budapest. End of 2022 he had a ruptured cruciate ligament in the knee. He took silver at the Grand Prix in Portugal and GS in Paris in 2024.
