Croatian judoka Ana Viktorija Puljiz became European Cadet Champion in 2017 in Kaunas and bronze at the Cadet Europeans in Warsaw in 2019. Ana Viktorija won the EYOF title in Baku in 2019. She won gold at the Youth Olympic Games team event in 2018 and she claimed a bronze medal at the Youth Olympics in 2018. In 2019 she won gold at the European Cup in Dubrovnik. She claimed silver at the Cadet World Championships in Almaty in 2019. She took bronze at the Junior European Championships in 2020.

Turkey surprises at EYOF Croatia celebrates gold for Puljiz

At the first day of the European Youth Olympic Festival Azerbaijan celebrated the first gold medal in judo. Azerbaijani judoka Turan Bayramov has claimed a gold medal at the 15th Summer European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) in Baku. He sealed the medal after beating Russian Rizvan Magomadov in the 60kg final by ippon. Cypriot Georgios Balarjishvili and Estonian Viljar Lipard took bronze medals. Read more

Eleven winning nations at the European Cup for Cadets in Zagreb last weekend. The most popular gold was for Ana Viktorija Puljiz of host nation Croatia when she celebrated her victory U48kg. The event though was overshadowed by an incident on Sunday where two judoka had a shocking low level fight. The final of the Team event of the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires delivered a mix of athletes. The teams were named after the host cities of the Olympic Games, it was the Team Beijing that won the tournament ahead of Team Athens for the silver medals and Team London and Team Rio de Janeiro for the bronze medals.
