Serbian judoka Andrea Stojadinov became the U23 European Champion in 2018 in Gyor. She won gold at the European Cup in Belgrade in 2016 as youngest winner at the age of 16. She won bronze in 2018. She took silver at the European Cadet Championships in 2017 in Kaunas. She won the European Cup Cadets Teplice, Berlin and Ploiesti in 2017. She took a silver medal at European U23 Championships in 2017 held in Podgorica. She captured a bronze medal at the 2018 and 2019 Junior World Championships.

Wakana Koga harvests the gold for Japan

The first representative of the Japanese team to enter the tatami in a final at the junior world championships 2019 in Marrakech, was not a total unknown on the World Judo Tour, since Koga Wakana won the Montreal Grand Prix at the beginning of July, at only 18 years old. The first surprises have been unveiled at the Junior World Championships. The field is very competitive today and the day started early in Marrakech. The first to qualify for rge finals was Japanese lightweight promise Wakana Koga. She won her poule and was opposed to Andrea Stojadinov of Serbia in the semi final.
