Georgian judoka Luka Maisuradze emerged victorious at the 2023 World Championships in Doha, defeating Lasha Bekauri in the final. Maisuradze has a remarkable record, with world bronze medals in Tokyo (2019, 2022) and a European U23 title in Porec (2020). He also clinched bronze at the European Games in Minsk (2019) and the European Championships (2020). Maisuradze secured bronze at the 2018 Junior World Championships. He won the 2019 Grand Prix Antalya and took bronze medals at the Paris Grand Slam (2022, 2023) and the IJF Masters in Budapest in 2023. In 2024 he got suspended.
