German judoka Amelie Stoll won silver at the national senior championships in 2014 and won various medals at Junior level. She won the senior European Cup in Saarbrucken in 2016 and took medals in Boras, Uster and Celje. In 2014 she won the European Cup for Juniors in Paks. She became European U23 Champion in 2017. She captured bronze at the Grand Prix The Hague in 2017 where her twin sister Theresa won silver. She took a bronze medal at the Grand Prix Tbilisi and Tashkent in 2018.

Theresa Stoll gets revenge on Gjakova in Tashkent

The last final of day 1 at the Grand Prix in Tashkent saw Germany’s super talent Theresa Stoll capturing gold in the final against Nora Gjakova of Kosovo who had recently won the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam. Gjakova had beaten Stoll a pair of times before and was poised to complete the hat-trick for Kosovo on the first day of competition in Uzbekistan. Read more

Germany claims the first European mixed title

The team of Germany has taken the first European Mixed title. In the final Germany was too strong for the Netherlands winning by 4-2. The city of Jekaterinburg hosted the first Europeam mixed event at senior level. At Junior and and Cadet level mixed team title were already introduced. The Mixed team events will be introduced at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Read more
