Tim Gramkow became European Junior champion in 2017 in Maribor. He took the bronze medal at the World Junior Championships in Zagreb in 2017. Gramkow won a silver medal at the European Cadet Championships U18 Athens in 2014. He won bronze at the senior European Cup in Saarbrucken in 2016. He won bronze at the Junior European Championships in 2016 in Malaga. Gramkow won gold at the European Open in Madrid. He claimed a bronze medal at the 2018 Grand Prix in Cancun.

Belgian top talent Matthias Casse topped the medal podium in the U81kg category for Belgium as their presence in the competition continues to increase every day. Katowice European Open winner Casse became the first World Junior Champion since in 1990 Ulla Werbrouck and Christel Deliege won the World Junior title.
