Joana Ramos from Portugal won European silver in 2011. In 2004 she won bronze at the European U23 Championships. Ramos collected over 20 World Cup medals and won events in Lisbon, Abu Dhabi, Astana and in 2015 she won the Grand Slam in Tyumen, an emotional victory at the age of 33. She took bronze at the Europeans in Warsaw in 2017 at the age of 35. She claimed bronze at the Grand Prix in Tbilisi in 2017 and Cancun in 2018. She was fifth at the 2019 World Championships in Tokyo. She bagged a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Tbilisi in 2021. Second oldest judoka at the 2020 Olympic Games.
