Lithuanian judoka Santa Pakenyte took a silver medal at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2017. She won Grand Slam silver in Baku in 2015. Pakenyte is multiple heavyweight champion in Lithuania. She took bronze at the Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi in 2016. She became European Club Champion in 2017 with Flam'91. She took silver at the European Open in Oberwart in 2019. She claimed a bronze medal at the 2011 Sambo World Championships in Vilnius. She claimed a bronze medal at the Euro Open in Tallinn in 2019.

On October 25th and 26th Lithuania National Senior Championships were held and organized by Lithuania Judo Federation. But there were only 43 judokas competing among all the weight categories. Bigger part of judo community in Lithuania decided to protest this event and gathered together as spectators in the arena’s balcony. Read more
