Mashu Baker of Japan became Olympic Champion in 2016 in Rio U90kg. Baker won bronze at the 2015 World Championships. He is also known as Masyu Beiker. He won his first Grand Slam in 2013 in Tokyo and won the Grand Slams of Baku, Tyumen and Tokyo in 2015. Gold at the World Masters 2016. He won the World team title with Japan twice. When he came back from his shoulder injury he took silver at the Grand Slam in Düsseldorf in 2018. In 2019 he won the Grand Prix in Montreal.

Masters in Qingdao with promising Japanese team

Marcus Nyman quite judo twice, but twice he found the way to the sportshall and has enough talent to make it to the top of the world. He proved it at the Worlds in Tokyo where he was close to the medals, but in Tashkent no one could stop the experienced Swede on his way to gold. Read more

Three time continental medalist Colton Brown (USA) was on fire today in the men's U90kg weight division at the Grand Prix in Montreal. He entered the final for the first time on the occasion of a Grand Prix to be opposed to the current Olympic Champion, Baker Mashu, who had an amazing series of wins during the morning session, winning three of his matches by ippon and one by waza-ari.
