Who will return the stolen Olympic medals of Gella Vandecaveye?

Belgian judoka Gella Vandecaveye is appealing for the return of return her two Olympic medals stolen from her car. On social media, she is now calling for her silver and bronze plaque to be anonymously turned in to a police station.

When Gella Vandecaveye unlocked her car in the underground parking lot at Brussels South station, she noticed that her trunk was empty.

Not only were her judo suit and toolbox gone, but also her two Olympic medals. In her career silver at the Atlanta Games and bronze at the Sydney Games.

The Belgian judoka is now hoping for conscience from the thieves. "If the thieves still regret it, you can take my Olympic medals anonymously at any police station," she wrote on social media.

"Have fun with my judo suit and toolbox, I am less attached to those," she writes.
