Zviadauri and Bönisch nominated for international judo prize

International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge headlines the “SportStar Awards” October 18 in Lausanne. The ceremony pays tribute to European Olympic Medallists from 28 international sport federations and the International Paralympic Committee as well as prizes for Eurosport's M2A athletes.

The ceremony takes place at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne and also includes IOC Honorary President Juan Antonio Samaranch and Mario Pescante, the president of the European Olympic Committees.

From September 2003 all the way through to the Olympics, Eurosport followed eight athletes from eight different European countries in Mission to Athens.

Two of the athletes chosen by the viewers will be also be honored during the SportStar Awards Ceremony.

Nominated for the 2004 SportStar Awards for judo are: Zurab Zviadauri (GEO) and Yvonne Bönisch (GER)

See the stars come out as Eurosport broadcasts the SportStar Awards on October 24th.
