At the Golden League German recordholder TSV Abensberg is going to fight without Ilias Iliadis. Also Christopher Voelk will not be able to fight in Vienna this weekend.

Iliadis came back from the Grand Slam in Tokyo with an serious elbow injury according to team Manager Otto Kneitinger. The experienced Greek would is a fixed asset of the German success team and would have been very welcome in that weight category. Also Christopher Voelk and Igor Wandtke are injured in the category U73kg, but it doesn’t lower the motivation of the team.

TSV represents the German teams although the club from Bayern did not qualify via the national championships but based upon last year’s result in Kazan.

Favourite for the title is 8 time champion Yewara Newa, but also Vice champion Dinamo RNO-Alania and French Saint Genevieve Sports will have a strong team, in an event full of judo stars.
