Mongolian judoka Baasankhuu Bavuudorj became the world champion in 2024 in Abu Dhabi. She finished with silver at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. She triumphed at the Grand Slam in Dushanbe in 2024. She bagged a silver medal at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2022 in her category U48kg. She comes from Murun City in Mongolia at the edge of the Mongolian steppes, on the road to Lake Khovsgol. She took silver at the Grand Slam in Antalya in 2022 and bronze in 2023. She bagged a bronze medal at the 2023 IJF World Masters in Budapest. Seized gold at the Asian Championships in Hong Kong in 2024.
