Ivan Vorobev won bronze at the World Championships in 2013 in Rio U81kg, but was disqualified afterwards. He took gold at the Grand Prix The Hague in 2017. In 2015 Vorobev claimed the title at the Grand Slam in Tyumen. He won the World Cup in Ulaanbaatar in 2012 and silver at the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2012. He reached the top 5 of the world. He claimed a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Tashkent in 2018.
