Matteo Piras finished fifth at the 2024 World Championships in Abu Dhabi. He claimed the gold medal at the European Open in Zagreb in 2021. He won the European Open in Belgrade in 2017. He took bronze at the European Cup for seniors in Celje in 2018. He took silver at the European Open in Rome in 2019. He took the silver medal at the European Open in Cluj Napoca in 2019. He bagged silver at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2022 and bronze at the Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi in 2022. He captured a bronze medal at Grand Slam Tbilisi in 2023. Took silver at the Grand Slam Qazaqstan Barysy 2024.
