Russian judoka Denis Iartcev claimed a bronze medal at the 2019 World Championships in Tokyo. Denis finished 7th at the 2016 Olympic Games. He won the Grand Prix in Düsseldorf in 2017. Iartcev won the Universiade in Shenzhen (Student World Championships) in 2011 and European Games bronze in 2015. He won the IJF World Masters in Rabat in 2015. He clinched gold at the Grand Prix in Marrakech in 2019. With Yewara Newa he won the Golden League in 2017. He took bronze at the Grand Prix in Zagreb.
