German judoka Laura Vargas Koch Olympic Bronze in Rio 2016. She captured World silver in 2013 and three times a European medal. She won the U23 Europeans in 2011 in Tyumen. Laura won gold at the Euro Open in Lisbon, silver at the Grand Slam of Paris and gold in Abu Dhabi. Vargas Koch game back a year after the Olympic Games and captured bronze at the GP The Hague in 2017. She took a silver medal at the Grand Prix in Tbilisi and bronze in Marrakech in 2019.
