Argentine judoka Paula Pareto is Olympic Champion in 2016 in Rio. Pareto was Olympic bronze medallist in 2008 in Beijing and won the world title in 2015 in Astana and silver at the 2014 World Championships. She won over 10 international events such Grand Prix in Samsun and Budapest. Multiple Pan American Champion and Sports woman of the year in Argentina. In March 2017 he made her comeback with gold. She took a silver medal at the Grand Slam in Ekaterinburg in 2018.

Cuba takes five golds at Pan American Championships

Cuba became the somewhat surprising winner at the Pan American Championships this weekend in San Jose. With five gold medals and three times silver the Cuban team overclassed the other strong nations such as Brazil and Canada. Still Canada took three gold medals and couldn’t complain. Read more

Hiromi Endo earns first Grand Slam title

Endo Hiromi of Japan had a day to remember at U48kg as the two-time Asian Championships winner won all four of her contests at the Grand Slam in Ekaterinburg. Former World Judo Masters winner Endo, 25, has world champion Tonaki Funa and Olympic bronze medallist Kondo Ami ahead of her in the Japanese pecking order which meant that today was a must-win.
