Anett Meszaros is four times World medallist (2007-1011). She was in two finals and won the European title in 2010. Competed at two Olympic Games. In 2004 she was Junior World Champion. She came back in 2015 with bronze at the Grand Prix Budapest. She made a surprising comeback in 2018 and wants to qualify for the Olympic Games. She took silver at the European Cup in Bratislava in 2018. Anett Meszaros (HUN) was number 1 of the IJF World Ranking for seniors U70kg in 2010.

After having a baby, Japan's Kaori Matsumoto declared that she was ready to make a comeback for Tokyo 2020. Getting back as a mother isn't that easy. Just a hand full of strong judo women had a successful comeback, but most struggle or their mind has changed. The women’s category U70kg is dominated by Kim Polling for a few years. The triple European champion reigns like a king, but forgot to win the world title. In 20132 she just came back from a knee injury and won a satisfying bronze medal, in 2014 many things went wrong and Polling took a frustrating seventh place, the break knocked her out. Now back in place with a renewed way to deal with judo “pleasure”, other coach, back to the old club, but same opponents, who still fly around.
