Judoka Tara Babulfath of Sweden captured Olympic bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games as first Swede ever. She won a bronze medal at the world championships in Abu Dhabi in 2024. She won the Grand Slam in Baku in 2024. Tara’s father Mohammad was a successful Greco-Roman wrestler and he competed for Sweden at the 2004 Olympic Games. Her mother, Ida Hellstrom, who was also successful in the wrestling world. Tara triumphed at the Junior European Cup in Berlin in 2023. She took bronze at the Grand Slam in Tashkent in 2024. 2024 European U23 champion in Pila (POL).
