Krzysztof Wilkomirski Elected President of Polish Judo Association
Krzysztof Wilkomirski has been elected as the new president of the Polish Judo Association. A decorated judoka, Wilkomirski won a bronze medal at the 2001 World Championships in Munich in the U73kg category and secured another bronze at the European Championships in Düsseldorf in 2003.
Wilkomirski represented Poland at the Olympic Games in Athens (2004) and Beijing (2008) and competed in multiple World Championships between 2001 and 2011. Over the course of his career, he claimed 11 Polish senior judo titles and four World Cup victories. Known for his strong opinions and active involvement in the sport, Wilkomirski’s election reflects support for his vision and ideas for the future of Polish judo.
The new board under his leadership includes a mix of accomplished former athletes and professionals from diverse fields. Notable members include Adriana Dadci and Inga Kołodziej, who are well-recognized figures in Polish judo. Additionally, the board features former athletes who now contribute expertise in areas such as commercial ventures, political advocacy in judo, veteran judo initiatives, and event organization. The group combines a balance of experience with fresh perspectives from younger members, aiming to drive growth and success for Polish judo in the coming years.
