The two-times Olympian and 2011 finalist at the World Championships Srdan Mrvaljevic missed six months of action and only returned for the recent IJF Grand Prix in Tbilisi and Samsun. But the 30-year-old knows he is far from his top form. That should change in time for the Baku 2015 European Games.

"I'm still far from being in shape and I hope to be there for the European Games in Baku in June," Mrvaljevi? told to MINA agency.

"The aim of the first few tournaments is to lose weight and settle down in the category. I must see where I am now after the injuries and breaks in relation to the best fighters of the world."

Mrvaljevi? defeated Hungary's Attila Ungvari in the 81kg weight class in Tbilisi before losing to Georgian Ushangi Margiani in the Round of 16. At the Samsun Grand Prix in first round he beat Robin Pacek of Sweden, but was defeated by Zoloev of Kyrgystan.

The 2011 worlds silver medallist Mrvaljevi? knows he still has time to qualify for Rio 2016 with points available at Baku 2015, World Cups, Grand Prix and Grand Slam tournaments as well as European Ganes and World championships.

"There are no guaranteed placements. Everyone goes everywhere and collects points. In the end, the top 22 competitors in the rankings will qualify for the Olympic Games in Rio. It will take at least 500 or 600 points," Mrvaljevi? said.
