The 25-year old Sarah Harachi makes is preparing a comeback after becoming mother. Her new country won’t be France, but Morocco. Harachi bronze at the World Cadets in 2013 and took world bronze at junior level in 2015. As junior she claimed European bronze in 2014 and silver with the team at European and World level, followed by European junior team gold in 2015 in Oberwart.

At senior level she won the African Open in Casablanca in 2016 and in African Open in Tunis in 2017 and claimed five World Cup medals including a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in her “new” country Morocco in Agadir.

With her team Flam 91 she became European Club Champion in 2017 and Champions League winner in 2018.

Harachi follows the footsteps of Asmaa Niang who joined the Morocco team and might be successful for Morocco. In her new weight category U63kg Rizlen Zouak was able to win six World Cup medals between 2014 and 2016, but since then Morocco couldn’t find a solution for this category.

Harachi will represent Morocco from the next African Championships which will take place in Senegal from 20-23 May.
