Malta judoka Katryna Esposito is national Champion seniors 2018 -52Kg & -57kg National Championships juniors 2018. She took gold at the 19th Games of the small states in Pembroke. She was 2nd -57Kg National Champion juniors and seniors 2019 -48Kg, -52Kg & -57kg CSEN 2018 3rd -52kg CSEN 2019 1st -48kg & 2nd -52Kg. She clinched a bronze medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. She secured s bronze medal at the African Open in Tunis and Algiers in 2023. Gold medal at the 2024 20st Games of the small states in Nicosia.
