Azeri judoka Gultaj Mammadaliyeva took bronze at the Junior European Championships in 2017 in Maribor. She took a bronze medal at the European Open in Belgrade in 2017. She is one of Azerbaijan’s most lauded homegrown judoka in their ever-increasing women’s team. The teenager captured a bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Antalya in 2019. She took the gold at the European Open in Cluj Napoca in 2019.
