Japanese judoka Haruka Funakubo captured the gold medal at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2021 and Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2022. She is the only triple Junior World Champion in the world. She won the world titles in 2015, 2017 and 2018 and she contributed to the mixed team world title for Juniors. Haruka took a silver medal at the World Championships in 2022 and 2023 in Doha. She won the World team title with Japan. Haruka claimed a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Osaka in 2018 and bronze at the Grand Slam of Ekaterinburg in 2019. She started 2022 with a victory at the Grand Slam in Paris.
