At 23 a stranger blinded Lynn Manning with a gunshot to the face at a Hollywood bar. Manning ad to learn how to get around by himself. To stay fit, he took up martial arts and became a world champion in blind judo. He passed away in 2015 aged 60 of liver cancer. Paralympic Games silver in 1992.
