Paralympic judoka Shakhban Kurbanov of Russia won bronze at the Paralympic Games London in 2012 U73kg. In 2015 he won silver at the IBSA World Games in Seoul. Not able to fight at the Paralympic Games in Rio2016 due to the ban of Russia. He won the IBSA Judo Grand Prix in Tashkent in 2019.
