Uruguayan judoka Alain Aprahamian will be one of the oldest participants at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, his second appearance after finishing 17th at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games after his first round loss to Robin Pacek (SWE) fighting -81kg. Since 2019 he collected eleven world cup medals including one victory at the 2019 African Open in Yaounde in -81kg. In this Olympic cycle he claimed five world cup medals, all at Panamerican Open events in five different cities. Nine contests in eight participations at World Championships since 2013, best performance 17th in 2014 in Chelyabinsk (RUS).
