Japanese judoka Shishime Ai became World Champion in 2021 and 2017 both in Budapest and took silver in 2018 in Baku and bronze in 2019 in Tokyo. Ai contributed to the World team title for Juniors with Japan. In 2019 she won gold at the Grand Slam of Paris. In 2016 and 2018 she won event in Düsseldorf and Zagreb. Ai won the Grand Slam in Tyumen in 2016. She won the IJF World Masters in 2019 in Qingdao and took silver in Doha in 2021. She bagged a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2022. She secured a silver medal at the Asian Championships in 2022 and silver at GS Tokyo in 2022.
