Saeid Mollaei of Iran became World Champion in 2018 in Baku and won world bronze in 2017 in Budapest. He won bronze medals at the Grand Prix in Samsun and Ulaanbaatar in 2015. He fought at the World Championships in 2013 and 2015 and he was fifth in 2019 after he lost his last two fights deliberately. Saeid captured bronze at the Grand Prix The Hague in 2017. In 2018 he won the Grand Slam in Düsseldorf and gold in Hohhot in 2019. Mollaei took bronze at the Grand Slam in Ekaterinburg in 2018.

Saeid Mollaei is going to fight for Mongolia at the Masters in Qingdao. Mollaei visited the President of Mongolia, the former Judo Association President Khaltmaagiin Battulga who handed out the passport to the 2018 World Champion who fled from Iran and was promised a German citizenship recently.
