Judo World Champion 2015 Takanori Nagase became Olympic Champion at the Tokyo Olympic Games. Nagase won Olympic bronze in Rio 2016. Nagase was world champion in 2015 and claimed a bronze medal at the World Championships in Tashkent in 2022. Nagase claimed silver at the Grand Slam in Tokyo in 2022. He won the IJF Masters in Rabat U81kg. In 2013, 2014 and 2016 he won the Grand Slam in Tokyo. He took silver at the Grand Slam of Ekaterinburg in 2019 and gold at the Grand Prix in Montreal and Zagreb. Nagase won the Grand Slam in Brasilia in 2019. He took bronze at the Grand Slam Ulaanbaatar 2022.
