Japanese Mami Umeki claimed the world title in 2015 in Astana at the age of 20 and took silver in 2017 in Budapest and bronze in 2021 in Budapest. Umeki fights U78kg and won the World Junior title U20 in 2011 in Cape Town. Umeki won the World Masters in 2018 in Guangzhou. Mami won the GP in Budapest in 2018. Mami won bronze at the Grand Slam of Paris and silver in 2022. She won the Grand Slam in Ulaanbaatar in 2022 and silver in 2023. She won the Asian title in 2022. She claimed a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Tel Aviv and Baku in 2023. Gold medal at 2024 Kodokan Cup in Chiba.
