Judoka Diana Brenes of Costa Rica ompeted at four World Championships since 2017 with 17th place in 2017, 2018, 2019. First round in 2024. Fifth place at Junior World Championships in 2014. Collected dix medals at Pan American Open events including her victory at the 2024 Pan American Open in Lima. Took bronze at the African Open in Marrakech in June 2024 and gold at the 2024 African Open in Abidjan. Gained four bronze medals at Pan American Championships (2017, 2018, 2020) and Pan Am Games (2019), all -78kg. Switched to -70kg since 2022 where she became much more successful internationally.
