German judoka Lea Pueschel won bronze at the 2015 European U23 Championships. The European Police champion of 2015 won bronze at the European Junior Championships in 2013. She took various medals at European Cups such as Bratislava gold in 2016 and in 2015 and won bronze at the European Cup in Malaga in 2016. She won bronze at the European Open in Minsk. Pueschel won a silver medal at the European Open in Prague in 2017. She clinched a silver medal at the European Cup in Bratislava in 2019.

Dutch Sanne Vermeer picks up straight line to the top

Three Dutch judoka were responsible for the victory in the overall medal count at the European Open in Prague. In the afternoon session, Sanne Vermeer and Natascha Ausma captured the gold, while Margriet Bergstra took silver in the early session on Saturday. Khalmurzaev shows useful practise at European Cup Bratislava

Khasan Khalmurzaev seems ready for the Olympic confrontation with rivals Avtandili Tchrikishvili and Takanori Nagase. At the European Cup for Bratislava the Russian European Champion took the victory U81kg. In the final Khalmurzaev defeated Benjamin Muennich of Germany. In a field of 33 judoka Khalmurzaev won his five matches. Although very few Olympic athletes participated in Bratislava, the Russian team sent part of its first team. On Saturday Irina Dolgova won the U48kg category. Read more
