Amandine Buchard acts at World level since her 16th when she won bronze at the Cadet Worlds. She won World Junior bronze in 2013 and the World Junior title in 2014. Later she took World bronze in Chelyabinsk and in 2018 in Baku. She won more than 15 medals in the IJF World Tour. IJF World Ranking Leader U52kg in 2018 and 2019. Silver at the 2018 IJF World Masters. Grand Prix Marrakech gold and Grand Slam Baku in 2019. European Games bronze. She was fifth at the 2019 World Championships in Tokyo.

At the second day of the Judo World Championships in Tokyo the favourites have progress to the final phase. Especially in the women’s tournament all big names were able to stand the pressure. French world number one Amandine Buchard will now face Rio bronze medallist Natalia Kuziutina of Russia in the first semi-final, followed by a super clash between Majlinda Kelmendi of Kosovo and Uta Abe. French world number one Amandine Buchard (FRA) won U52kg gold in Azerbaijan as former world champion Shishime Ai (JPN) picked up a knee injury during their final and could no longer continue.
