Legendary Dutch judo coach Chris de Korte is known for guiding athletes to Olympic and World Championships success. His influence shaped numerous medal-winning careers, notably Mark Huizinga's Olympic gold in 2000. Additional won Olympic medals with Angelique Seriese, Theo Meijer, Edith Bosch and additional World Championships medals with Marhinde Verkerk and Anicka van Emden. De Korte's pioneering techniques and dedication to training left a lasting impact on Dutch judo, with athletes recalling his influence on their judo careers and personal development. Ninth Dan Chris passed away in 2024.
