As a judoka Irakli Uznadze was 2002 European Champion for Türkiye in Maribor. He became a successful senior coach for Georgia who won World and European titles individual and with his team. In 2017 he started as men’s coach for Türkiye and became women’s coach as well. Was highly important at important European Championships for Albayrak, Zgank and Ozdemir and won World Championships medals with Ozdemir, Ozturk, Albayrak and Ciloglu.
