Austrian judoka Lukas Reiter won a bronze medal at the European Cup in Orenburg in 2015. He won gold at the European Open in Oberwart in 2018. The Oberwart European Open winner first appeared on the IJF World Judo Tour in 2016 and made his Worlds debut last year. He holds a win over London 2012 Olympic champion Lasha Shavdatuashvili (GEO) at the 2017 European Championships and the Georgian would crave a rematch in Baku. He took a bronze medal at the European Open in Rome in 2023. He bagged a bronze medal at the European Open in Gyor in 2024.
