American judoka Nicolas Yonezuka made the Olympic Team U78kg, in 1980 at 16 years old. He still holds the record as the youngest male American judo Olympian. Nick was a 12 time Senior National Finalist, winning gold 5 times. Internationally, Nick won a gold medal at the 1986 Dutch Open, bronze medal at the 1986 World University Games, he was second at the 1984 Belgium Open, 5th in 1986 Goodwill games and 5th in 1981 Kano Cup. Yonezuka is most proud of his fifth place at the 1986 Kano Cup. Nick has two sons fighting at world level Nicolas and Jack and has a dojo in New Jersey.
