French judoka Melissa Heleine took bronze at the World Championships for Juniors in 2014 and silver with the team. Heleine took bronze at the European U21 Championships in 2014 and bronze with the senior team in 2016. In 2014 she won the European Cup for Juniors in Lignano. In 2018 she took a bronze medal at the European Open in Rome. She won the European Cup for seniors in Celje in 2018. She clinched a silver medal at the European Open in Odivelas in 2020 and bronze in Bratislava.

Daria Bilodid made her return at the tatami after she didn’t fight at the European Championships to defend her title. In Celje this weekend she won the European Cup U48kg on Saturday. The 17-year youngster was obviously the youngest winner this weekend. Bilodid defeated last year’s winner Hitomi Sakaguchi (JPN). Read more

At the European Open in Rome Jemima Yeats-Brown was the celebrated judoka on Sunday. The British judoka suffered many injuries and seriously had to consider to stop doing judo give n her injuries.
