2009 was the year of Korean judoka An Jeong-Hwan. He won bronze U66kg at the World Championships in Rotterdam. He won silver at the Asian Championships. An won silver (2008) and bronze (2009) at the Grand Slam in Tokyo and Grand Slam in Paris (2009). He became coach and moved to Spain as national coach.
