Judoka Roberto Pirola of Switzerland won gold at the Swiss Championships U21 Zürich in 1980 in the category over 95kg. He was three time Swiss Champion and captured the 7 place European Judo Championships. He was 1991 - 1996 President of the Swiss Judo Association and since 1997 Honorary President Swiss Judo Association.
