French judoka Jocelyne Triadou was the first French women's World Champion in 1980. She took bronze in 1982 in U72kg and Open category. Triadou collected 5 European titles 1977-1982. With multiple medals from major international competitions, including five European titles, Jocelyne Triadou is above all known for being the first Frenchwoman to become world champion. By winning the world title in 1980 in New York Triadou opened the door for many French athletes. Jocelyne Triadou is a 8th dan.
