Israelian lightweight Shira Rishony debuted at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games R1 -48 after a disqualification. Came back strong at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games finishing fifth. Lost to Bilodid for bronze -48kg. She competed at World Championships since 2015 with best result ninth in 2017. Competed at Junior worlds in 2009 (ninth -48kg). Collected 21 World Cup medals, 16 in the World Judo Tour (2012-2023) including two victories (2013 Grand Prix Tashkent and 2019 Grand Prix Tel Aviv). Speaks Spanish, Hebrew and English.
