American judoka Everet Desilets won the Pan American Open in San Salvador in 2014. Was temporarily suspended for using an ADHD medicine while not administering his prescription in time for the competition. In 2017 he won silver at the Pan American Open in Buenos Aires. Everet is also into wrestling. He captured a silver medal at the Pan American Open in Cordoba in 2019.
