Ylenia Scapin is a double Olympic medallist for Italy. She won bronze at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games. She won three bronze medals at World Championships. Ylenia took the European title at her last and 13th European Championships in 2008 in Lisbon. She was coached by Hall of Famer Felice Mariani. She is a coach for years herself including World Junior Champion Alice Bellandi. Scapin is multiple Italian champion from 1992-2005. She won the Tournoi de Paris in 1999. She triumphed at the German Open World Masters twice in 1998 and 2001.
