Japanese Tomizawa Kana crowned as Cadet World Champion

Japan triumphed with two gold medals on the second day of the World Cadet Championships. The gold for young women U52kg was for Kana Tomizawa. All Japan Cadet Championships winner Tomizawa Kana was crowned world champion in the U52kg division after defeating Cadet European Championships bronze medallist Tihea Topolovec of Croatia in the final. Tomizawa prevailed by ippon with 45 seconds remaining as the 16-year-old jumped from being the best cadet in Japan to the best in the world with a determined performance. Read more
