He won the European team title for Cadets in 2015. He took a bronze medal at the Grand Prix Tbilisi in 2018. He took a bronze medal at the Grand Slam in Paris in 2019. He claimed the silver medal at the Grand Slam in Baku in 2019.

London 2012 Olympic bronze medallist Felipe Kitadai of Brazil achieved a career first as the 29-year old Brazilian ended an IJF competition day with gold for his country. After earning three Grand Slam silver medals, Kitadai, who was ranked a lowly number 33 at the start of the day, brushed aside Paris Grand Slam bronze medallist Temur Nozadze (GEO) by two scores for gold. Three-time and reigning world champion Takato Naohisa (JPN) won the Paris Grand Slam for the fourth time as he maintained his 100% winning record over former world champion Yeldos Smetov (KAZ).
